I was lucky enough to attend the Barbra Streisand auction recently and scoop up a few of her dresses. For the premier Barbra pieces, please visit the Memorabilia or Museum section of this website! Meanwhile... how often can you find a Donna Karan sample dress... and owned by a celebrity of Barbra's status?? Once in a Blue Moon...so this must be your lucky day! NOTE: Extreme low cleavage (as Barbra likes it) to the viscose spandex blend jersey bodice (with built-in body suit) with attached wrap tie. The sleeves will look a bit better with some arms inside! :) The skirt portion is a very full silk taffeta. A great "little black dress" for those of you who love to show off what God (or your favorite plastic surgeon) gave you! Excellent condition. Measures: 21" long from waist to hem. Sexy black velvet bias cut evening gown with bolero jacket with ruffled short puffed sleeves which stripe black to white. Dress has black chiffon on top part of bodice which bolero covers when worn with it. The shoulder straps have been extended at the back with black elastic, which I will leave, but this allows for a longer waist and larger bustline. It's a quick change to take that out, if desired. Size you ask??? Well... since it's bias, it will stretch to fit a variety of bodies.. So.. if you are interested in this dress, please just email me your measurements (no cheating... get out the tape measure!) and I will let you know how it will work on you. Length about 57 inches, but will change depending on your size. Excellent condition. There is no closure at the front bolero... I just used a rhinestone bow pin (but it doesn't come with the dress). $ 285.

Click on image for additional photos!#3744 - c. 1980's GALANOS Couture $4,000 Beaded Cocktail Dress! Possibly never worn. This dress is a work of art! Originally sold at the prestigious Martha's Boutique. I'm told this was originally sold for $4,000! I can't guarantee, or confirm that, but I would certainly not be surprised. Amazing quality dress with very special 3-dimensional beading! Please look at the close-up photos to see the extraordinary detail.. This is not a gaudy or flashy dress, it was designed for elegance... with unique zebra-striped sequins, tiny light colored wooden beads, antique gold beads, gold sequins. Lined in the softest silk. Padded shoulders. The entire dress looks hand-sewn, including the attachment of the lining. Museum quality. Excellent condition except for small areas that look as though there may be some beads missing, but it looks like the other areas of the dress where the muslin peeks through the beading for detail and effect, so it's hard to even spot.. and a restitching of the seam at the back (ass) necessary. Can't say I like my choice of necklace with this dress... I'm sure you can do better! How about amber? Or, heck, canary yellow diamonds? Measures: 34/35" bust, up to 31" waist, up to 38" hips, 37" long from shoulder to hem. $ 1,250.

Must have been expensive. This gown has exquisite attention to every detail., including a pretty shoulder detail, and a spectacular two-tiered mermaid hemline. The gown material is a unique sheer organdy with a crepe texture - just exquisite. The underdress is a silky satin. The dress hugs the curves and the organdy over will give you an ethereal look. There is a hip satin sash that sashays as you do! Side nylon zipper (I'm told by the previous owner that they replaced the original sticky metal zipper). Excellent condition with just one double pinhead size hole in the organdy ruffle down the front side. Measures: 36" bust, 27" waist, up to 37" hips, 41" long from waist to hem. $ 845.

I guarantee it! An extremely light-weight dress of sheer black chiffon with every inch covered with large hologram sequins! One shoulder design, side zipper, sheer chiffon slip under. I see 6 sequins missing, so if you take up the dress by one row of sequins, you will have all the sequins you will need to replace any that might fall off when worn (as all sequin dresses lose sequins). Measures: 35" bust, free waist, up to 38" hips, 39" long from shoulder to hem. Excellent condition except for the missing sequins. At your next party, YOU can be the mirror ball! :) Go try to find another dress as smashing! :) $ 745.

Click on image for additional photos!#3997 - c. 1950's Deep Rose/Claret Heavy Satin Smoking Jacket! Practically one size fits all! Made in China. I was told this was worn by Miss California during the Miss America pagent. It DOES look incredibly cute on, but seems a wacky story. Who knows! Might be true! :) Nice quality! Get out the slippers and black satin pants! Lounge in luxury. This was likely a man's smoking jacket, but equally terrific for a woman. And because it's just a wrap style, will fit nearly everyone... the only important measurement is 18" across back between armseams - so measure your favorite jacket in your closet, and see if this will fit you! It can easily be worn large. Shown on a size 6 mannequin, she looks comfy, don't you think? Oh damn.... I just tried this on myself, and I look damn good in it as well! I should never try anything on, as I wonder if I should just keep it. Luckily the arms are way too long for me ( at 5'2") so I would need to tailor it, so.... it's staying up on the website while I try to grow longer arms! :) The jacket is claret red with a gold circular brocade design. It has black satin lining, lapel, and cuffs. (The belt doesn't come with it... just get a black satin ribbon!) Front pockets with black border. Measures: 18" across back between armseams 32" long from back neck to hem, 30.5" long sleeve from crick of side neck to end of cuff (have to measure this way as if you are small - as you can see, the shoulder seam will not be at your shoulder). Excellent condition with just some very light scuff marks on satin and extremely minor pulls. I'm being extremely picky!!! Labeled size 44. Would make a great gift! Could even be used by a woman as an outerwear jacket because it will be big enough to fit a sweater underneath. $ 345.

After apprenticing at the house of Paquin in Paris, and working with Charles James in New York for over two years, Arnold Issacs turned his last name backwards and began designing his own clothing under the name of Arnold Scaasi. Scaasi's early forte was evening clothes, which cost around $495 for a dress. Both bold and lavish, evening dresses were made with dramatic, sweeping skirts and decorative tabletop necklines. Rarely were any of this clothes trimmed, relying instead on cut and fabric for decoration, a written in New York Fashion. This is not a Scaasi Boutique dress, the label is the original Arnold Scaasi. Striking red silk suitable for a princess yet with the sexy off the shoulder neckline leaving lots of empty skin for your Harry Winston ruby and diamond necklace. Huge balloon sleeves leave enough arm to show off the matching bracelet. Back metal zipper helps date this gown to the 50's rather than the 80's. Measures: 32" bust, 24" waist, 41" long from natural waist to hem. $ 795.

Click on image for additional photos!#4518 - c. early 1990's CLAUDE MONTANA, Paris - Made in Italy Black Fine Wool Broadcloth with Heavy Silver Zippers and Silver Half Belt at Back! Oh baby.... Wanna drive him insane? Start unzipping! Or better yet... let him do the honors. :) The fine wool broadcloth feels great! The shape of the dress is basic... but it's the detailing that is "VERY MONTANA". He was known for his leather works and borrowing elements from the motorcycle clad-gay scene. Heavy silver metal zippers on both sides of the front, and on the sleeves. The back of the dress has a half belt of heavy silver metal links attached at the sides to give the dress more shape. Only slight shoulder pads prove this not to be from the powerhouse shoulder-padded 1980's. Top of the line Montana... not the less expensive line. Measures: 36/37" bust, up to 29.5" waist, up to 39" hips, 38" long from shoulder to hem. Fully lined. Near Mint condition. $ 345.

Now I hate to suggest that antique and vintage clothing be "redesigned"... however, if you don't like 1980's puff sleeves, you might want to consider this gown anyway... take to a seamstress and remove the sleeves. How gorgeous is that!! :) Just a thought for you since the fabric of this gown is just soooo exquisite. Measures: 54" long from shoulder to hem. Zippers on sleeve cuffs. Padded shoulders. Doesn't look like it was ever worn! Measures: 36" bust, 30" waist. $ 575.

OK I confess (though you'd never know.. and if I was anyone else I'd just keep this to myself... but... )... I bought this gown and the hemline was completely dirty (she must have sloshed through the mud .. I just hope it was AFTER the ball!) Her shoes must have really been trashed.. I wonder if she was running in her glass slippers through the mud as the clock was striking midnight! :) Anyway, whether this was originally owned by Cinderella or not, I had a professional hem up the gown so all the dirt at the hem is gone. The gown was originally extremely long, so there was plenty of material to hem up. Now the only issue to mention are a couple very small dirt marks on skirt (lost in folds) and one light round spot on bodice (that is seen in certain lighting conditions - see second to last photo for close-up). SO.... this is a gown perfect for a budding fashion designer! You can decorate or embellish if you want it to look perfect!!! Otherwise, it's still extremely wearable as is. The sash belt comes with it with an already tied bow at waist. Back metal zipper. Measures: 36" bust, 25" waist, 41" long from waist to hem. Has crinoline under for that vintage pouf. Back metal zipper. $ 445.

I bought this dyed blue fox stole to go with the Sharon Stone worn 1920's beaded flapper dress I have for sale... but since I don't know who wants what for what reason... I figured I should list it separately as well. Heck, you might want to wear it with nothing underneath! Who am I to tell you you can't! :) Just please... wear something on the bottom! :) Excellent condition.. like new.... wait a minute, it IS new! Guess that's why it's in such great shape! lined in the same electric blue satin as the bow in front. The blue of the fox is slightly more subdued. Really great color. 36" long by 11" wide.. slightly curved shape to fit the body. $ 495.

Yeah I know, I mention her a lot when trying to describe the quintessential Mod girl, but really, she was the best! Here's a great wool twill dress, red at top and black at bottom and attached neckpiece. Amazingly, this dress zips up the front under the flap which buttons just above the breast. I've shown the dress with a belt in some photo just so you can see what it might look like (no belt is included). The dress is shaped for a gal with a different body than mine. I'm a pear. This dress needs a girl wider at top than bottom... and that ain't me. Wide shoulders with no padding, but might have had shoulder pads. The flap "opens" up a bit so you might want to add a snap in place. Excellent condition with tiny, tiny couple pindot spots on sleeve (hardly important). Measures: 36" bust, up to 32" waist, up 36" hips, 37" long from shoulder to hem. $ 385.

Originally established in 1946 as a design house who produced translations of haute couture for the middle class, Frank Usher is still a well-known label in London specializing in evening and special occasion wear. (long sentence, take a breath!) So.... you can either hope on a plane and fly to Harrod's to purchase your Frank Usher beaded jacket, or... save the airfare, hotels, taxes, taxis and meals, and purchase this lovely piece! I have only located 4 beads missing in this jacket (at side neck) completely covered with millions (Ok, I exaggerate!) of tiny white bugle beads and then studded with white sequins and turquoise beads creating a lovely diamond design! Dress up your life! Yes it's fancy, but it's not "over the top" fancy. Simple enough for a special dinner out, or dressy enough for a gala affair. Padded shoulder, pads come right out if you want. Excellent condition. Fully lined in navy rayon. Even though this is marked Medium, it seems large to me! Measures: up to 42" bust, 46" around bottom of jacket (around hips), 17" across back between armseams, 24" long. Can be worn slightly big, or slightly tight if you only hook the top hook/eye as shown. Otherwise closes down front with all hooks/eyes. $ 285.

Hard to photograph the details as it's floral chiffon fabric over the same floral silk fabric! But in person this gives a very expensive look. The sleeves and the upper bodice are the same floral see-through chiffon as the upper layer skirt. Tiny, short standup collar. Great heavy hemline detail. Excellent condition... looks like it was never worn! 7/8 length sleeves with cuffs (great to show off your pearl bracelet). Back zipper. Measures: 38" bust, 31" waist, up to 47" hips, 42" long from waist to hem. $ 285.

The printed chiffon part is easy, but then there are flat gold "chains" in the material. They don't look like embroidery, and they aren't heavy at all.. so what the heck are they?? Just look at the close-up photos to see. I'll let you tell me! Fun gown with a 4-layer skirt which opens at the front to appear like an overskirt billowing in the breeze.. but it's all attached, and only at the front to sides. The bodice has decorative frogs down front. Back metal zipper. Lined in hot pink silk. Measures: 30" waist, 59" long from shoulders to hem. $ 265.

I only know it's great! The floral embroidery work is gorgeous in pastel blues, pinks, yellow and green. The base fabric looks like silk, but I believe it's rayon, there is no fabric label. The embroidery is created from silk threads. Mother-of-pearl small buttons down the front and an oriental type collar. Measures: up to 40" bust, 27" long from shoulder to hem. Marked size Medium. The sleeves are 3/4 length. There are 7" slits on both sides at the hip level which measures 45" around. Excellent condition. NOTE: pinks are a bit more brilliant. Add your favorite daily pair of black pants and you are beautifully dressed! $ 385.

This skirt is in absolutely mint condition, appears unworn! Looks better in person! The fabric has a gorgeous satin sheen. The nap of the velvet goes up rather than down which helps to catch the light! The skirt is the most lovely shade of pink with a mod design in light purple and white. The pink gradually darkens toward the hem and the bottom half of the skirt is a brilliant jewel toned deep pink with purple and gold that is amazing! The hem has a black and gold design. Fully lined with light pink satin and has a slit on one side. Size is marked European 40, but measures: 28.5" waist, up to 40" hips, 39" long from waist to hem. Very well made! $ 465.

Wonderful empire waist with heavenly sheer black chiffon bodice and "harem" sleeves. The bodice is a bandeau of black lace encrusted with black jet beads all around with a sweet tie bow at front. Excellent condition. Back zipper. Now... I have a suggestion. You can certainly wear this dress when not pregnant, but I think it's a perfect maternity cocktail dress! I've taken a few photos of the dress with the proper baby pillow under just so you can see how it might fit and look! So.. if you have looked high and low for the perfect holiday party dress and you are in your first or second trimester... well, baby.... why not wear something you WILL want to wear again! Measures: 36" bust, up to 35" waist, up to 41" hips, 44" long from shoulder to hem. As a Sarmi, this would have cost much more than this new! $ 545.

SOLD#4080 - c. 1980's MOSCHINO Jeans Wild Micro Mini-Skirt Quilted Satin "Suit"! Hard to call this a suit... it's unique! WILD SET! Moschino Cartoon Hip-Hop Duck print! A quilted soft satin fabric with a super fun cartoon pattern!. Hip-hop ducks, decked out in peace-sign necklaces, hoop earrings, and cowboy boots! Banners across the fabric say various phrases: "I Love Fashion" "Health, Wealth, Happiness" "Moschino", and then includes a few clever foreign language phrases including "Je n'aime pas le fois gras" (My high school French allows me to translate to: "I don't like Duck Liver Pate"), and I'm assuming Italian "Mil Piumino D'oca" (which I can't translate ... hey, I was just told by a website viewer that it means "goose down quilt"! Thanks Darrin! ). There's also angel wings and hearts, etc.. etc. Heavy metal zipped fronts on both the jacket and the skirt. The zippers have metal peace-sign pulls. The jacket is a baseball-style bomber jacket, with side pockets, and a knit fabric at the collar, cuffs and bottom hem. The skirt is a micro mini-skirt with side pockets and belt loops at the waist. Excellent, near mint condition. Likely never worn. Labeled US size 6, Euro. size 36. Made of 53% Polyester, 33% Acetate and 14% Rayon. Measures: up to 42" bust, 30-32" waist jacket, 25" waist skirt, 35/36" hips, 15" length skirt. $ 365. SOLD
