# 4084 - c. 1960's KOHLHAAS Panne Velvet Long Skirt! Very Pucciesque, don't you think? Absolutely luxurious pink panne velvet skirt by "Creation Kohlhaas". This skirt is in absolutely mint condition, appears unworn! Looks better in person! The fabric has a gorgeous satin sheen. The nap of the velvet goes up rather than down which helps to catch the light! The skirt is the most lovely shade of pink with a mod design in light purple and white. The pink gradually darkens toward the hem and the bottom half of the skirt is a brilliant jewel toned deep pink with purple and gold that is amazing! The hem has a black and gold design. Fully lined with light pink satin and has a slit on one side. Size is marked European 40, but measures: 28.5" waist, up to 40" hips, 39" long from waist to hem. Very well made!

# 3677 - c. 1980's MARY MCFADDEN COUTURE Gold Metallic Lace and Jeweled Suit! If you have an audience with a Rajah, you might consider wearing this suit if you don't look all that good in a sari! Stunning! Opulent in an exotic way. Simply cut. The suit consists of a long collarless jacket and a short matching skirt in the most amazing, unique textile. Gold metallic thread embroidered in an oriental pattern on fine net, backed in silk voile. The edges of the jacket are finished in the most extravagant trim consisting of large crystal baguettes, faux pearls and tiny crystal beads. Measures: 34-36" bust (though no stretch in fabric, so the back feels tight, so I'd suggest if you are a 36" bust, that it's more "upfront" than a wide back. The skirt is 30" at lower waist, 35" hips, 17" long skirt (short). The skirt is in desperate need of a walking slit so you may need a tailor for that. Has shoulder pads to help shape. Sheer lining under the gold metallic lace, so you may want to wear a camisole or blouse under. Excellent condition. Best for a woman with small bum and larger top (not good for an hourglass shape). Don't believe the Size 12 label!!! McFadden Couture jeweled suits and gowns easily cost over $5,000 new!!

# 3458 - c. 1960's PAULINE TRIGERE Navy Silk Bombazine Gown with Matching Bolero Jacket! Good Size! OK, I confess. I'm not very good at naming fabrics, but someone else called this bombazine. It's a heavy silk. Great halter neckline with collar and sexy low back with interesting backstrap placement. A-line gown. The gown zips up side and is lined in navy silk. Comes with the matching cutaway bolero lined in a bright lemon yellow silk faille for pizzazz! Measures: 40" bust, up to 35" waist, up to 42" hips, 54" from back of collar to hem. Excellent condition, could just use a snap or two on the back straps for neatness, otherwise near perfect.

# 3674 - c. 1950's Winter White Beaded Cardigan Sweater Loaded with Beaded Lace Front and Back! Magnificent! Yeah, there are lots of beaded sweaters out there, but first off, I love the ones with fitted waists (they are earlier than the 60's cardigans which are longer). Second, have you ever seen a nicer one? Winter white knit with thousands of tiny white glass beads all intricately woven in a floral lace design both front and back! Also a beaded collar!! Scattering of beads on cuff and bottom edge of sweater. Faux pearl buttons. The sweater is lined under the knit, but unlined under the lace, so you will need something under... or not! :) There are no tags, but it's not 100% cashmere, likely it's a cashmere/wool blend. Excellent condition. I had to search hard to find 3 tiny (pinhead size) marks on one sleeve, two near elbow and one further down. Beading is in near mint condition.

# 3474 - c. 1950's TRAINA NORELL Black Crepe Dress! Outstanding fabulous black crepe dress (cotton/wool blend?) with wonderful styling and tailoring. Wide shawl collar creates an attached capelet. Buttons up the back with fabric covered buttons. Two large hip patch pockets. 1/2 length sleeves. Originally had a belt, but looks fine without. Measures: 34" bust, 25" waist, up to 36" hips, 28.5" long from waist to hem (plus 5" hem). Excellent condition, with just some minor surface dirt on the skirt (like it was swept on a dusty floor), so you may want to dry-clean. The perfect classic black dress to dress up or wear as is!

# 3744 - c. 1980's GALANOS Couture $4,000 Beaded Cocktail Dress! Possibly never worn. This dress is a work of art! Originally sold at the prestigious Martha's Boutique. I'm told this was originally sold for $4,000! I can't guarantee, or confirm that, but I would certainly not be surprised. Amazing quality dress with very special 3-dimensional beading! Please look at the close-up photos to see the extraordinary detail.. This is not a gaudy or flashy dress, it was designed for elegance... with unique zebra-striped sequins, tiny light colored wooden beads, antique gold beads, gold sequins. Lined in the softest silk. Padded shoulders. The entire dress looks hand-sewn, including the attachment of the lining. Museum quality. Excellent condition except for small areas that look as though there may be some beads missing, but it looks like the other areas of the dress where the muslin peeks through the beading for detail and effect, so it's hard to even spot.. and a restitching of the seam at the back (ass) necessary. Can't say I like my choice of necklace with this dress... I'm sure you can do better! How about amber? Or, heck, canary yellow diamonds? Measures: 34/35" bust, up to 31" waist, up to 38" hips, 37" long from shoulder to hem.

# 4081 - c. 1950's HANNAH TROY Gorgeous Illusion Black Organdy Gown! Check through the old Vogue magazines and you will find full-page ads for Hannah Troy gowns. Must have been expensive. This gown has exquisite attention to every detail., including a pretty shoulder detail, and a spectacular two-tiered mermaid hemline. The gown material is a unique sheer organdy with a crepe texture - just exquisite. The underdress is a silky satin. The dress hugs the curves and the organdy over will give you an ethereal look. There is a hip satin sash that sashays as you do! Side nylon zipper (I'm told by the previous owner that they replaced the original sticky metal zipper). Excellent condition with just one double pinhead size hole in the organdy ruffle down the front side. Measures: 36" bust, 27" waist, up to 37" hips, 41" long from waist to hem.

Now I hate to suggest that antique and vintage clothing be "redesigned"... however, if you don't like 1980's puff sleeves, you might want to consider this gown anyway... take to a seamstress and remove the sleeves. How gorgeous is that!! :) Just a thought for you since the fabric of this gown is just soooo exquisite. Measures: 54" long from shoulder to hem. Zippers on sleeve cuffs. Padded shoulders. Doesn't look like it was ever worn!  Measures:  36" bust, 30" waist.

Notched collar, 3-button front, slit pockets at front, chrome buttons. Interior front of jacket is lined. Labeled size 44/10. # 4197 - c. 1990's CALVIN KLEIN Hologram Sequin Dress! Do you like to light up a room when you walk through the door? This will make you the center of attention. I guarantee it! An extremely light-weight dress of sheer black chiffon with every inch covered with large hologram sequins! One shoulder design, side zipper, sheer chiffon slip under. I see 6 sequins missing, so if you take up the dress by one row of sequins, you will have all the sequins you will need to replace any that might fall off when worn (as all sequin dresses lose sequins). Measures: 35" bust, free waist, up to 38" hips, 39" long from shoulder to hem. Excellent condition except for some missing sequins. At your next party, YOU can be the mirror ball! :) Go try to find another dress as smashing! :)

# 3712 - c. 1980's FRANK USHER Silk Navy Beaded Jacket! Originally established in 1946 as a design house who produced translations of haute couture for the middle class, Frank Usher is still a well-known label in London specializing in evening and special occasion wear. (long sentence, take a breath!) So.... you can either hope on a plane and fly to Harrod's to purchase your Frank Usher beaded jacket, or... save the airfare, hotels, taxes, taxis and meals, and purchase this lovely piece! I have only located 4 beads missing in this jacket (at side neck) completely covered with millions (Ok, I exaggerate!) of tiny white bugle beads and then studded with white sequins and turquoise beads creating a lovely diamond design! Dress up your life! Yes it's fancy, but it's not "over the top" fancy. Simple enough for a special dinner out, or dressy enough for a gala affair. Padded shoulder, pads come right out if you want. Excellent condition. Fully lined in navy rayon. Even though this is marked Medium, it seems large to me! Measures: up to 42" bust, 46" around bottom of jacket (around hips), 17" across back between armseams, 24" long. Can be worn slightly big, or slightly tight if you only hook the top hook/eye as shown. Otherwise closes down front with all hooks/eyes.

The floral embroidery work is gorgeous in pastel blues, pinks, yellow and green. The base fabric looks like silk, but I believe it's rayon, there is no fabric label. The embroidery is created from silk threads. Mother-of-pearl small buttons down the front and an oriental type collar. Measures: up to 40" bust, 27" long from shoulder to hem. Marked size Medium. The sleeves are 3/4 length. There are 7" slits on both sides at the hip level which measures 45" around. Excellent condition. NOTE: pinks are a bit more brilliant. # 3932 - c. 1960's Black Cotton/Wool Fine Knit and Metallic Sundress! Yeah, I know, I wonder myself how I can call a cotton/wool (I think) knit dress a sundress. But it's the shape that evokes the feel of the sundress... but you might not want to wear it in 90+ degree weather. Great open weave material with gold metallic threads travelling through. Edged in a thin band of black velvet at neckline and a wide attached "belt" of black velvet at waist which ends in a back bow. Measures: 33/34" bust, 24/25" waist. Side metal zipper. Shown with a crinoline, but you could use an even poufier one. It's a "wow, that's a pretty dress" in person!

# 4075 - c. late 1970's MARY MCFADDEN Red "Fortuny" Pleated Dress! It makes NO sense to me that people go ga-ga over Fortuny.. and yet these wonderful McFadden dresses don't yet have a following, even though McFadden has tons of prestigious fashion awards, including two Coty awards and induction into the coty Hall of Fame. ! I know it's only a matter of time before McFadden again becomes "hot", so stock up now! McFadden creatd her own signature fabric, "Marii" a pleated polyester which evokes the look of Fortuny, and the designs evoke Grecian togos. This dress is all red (I over-photographed it so you can see the design of the pleating... otherwise it would just look like a red blob in my photos. It's a lovely bluish-red, not of orange-red hue. Slightly puffy shoulders. The horizonal pleating of the bodice continue down to a draped feel at the hipline gathered up at one side with a heavy gold metallic lacey "ornament". Extremely thin gold trim edge the pleats. Skirt portion, drape and sleeves are of vertical pleating. Side zipper as well as upper back zipper. # 5551 - c. 1980's Thai Silk 2-piece Beaded, Sequin, Embroidered Gown! Oh this piece is so wonderfully different. Would be one of the few gowns that would be perfect to wear as a hostess gown for fancy party, or other such fancy event where you want to look "dressed to the nines", but still comfortable. This is a two-piece outfit. The color is a burgundy wine. A full skirt with beading, sequin and embroidered flower decorations around the bottom just above the lace, scalloped hemline! The top is a wrap blouse with ties attached and sheer sleeves. The wide, large collar has the same beaded, sequin and embroidered flower design. "Marisa Mone" label. This item came from the collection of the woman who "loves to buy only the best!" Silk lined skirt with layer of black stiff netting to shape. Material gives you that all-so-feminine rustling taffeta sound! Measures: 24/25" waist (could be made 26"), 41" long skirt. # 2866 - c. 1980's PATRICK KELLY Beige "Riding" Style Linen Jacket! You should know Patrick Kelly... though he passed away early in his career, he was still the first American member elected to the Chambre Syndicale of Paris. Among his clients were Grace Jones, Princess Di, Farrah Fawcett, and even Bette Davis and Zsa Zsa Gabor! Retrospectives of this African-American designer feature his innovative and witty colored button fashions. Only producing collections for 5 years until his death from AIDS, his fashions are collectable! NOW.... I confess I bought this at an antique show... but kept it for myself. I know I'm supposed to "be good" and only buy for you, my devoted customers and fans, but... every once in a blue moon (OK, I confess again.. sometimes it's more often than that!), I break down and convince myself that I can't live without "whatever it is", and so.... it goes into my personal closet. Years later I realize that I work at home in my jammies and bunny slippers more than I go out, and the poor item that I HAD to HAVE to wear... never got worn! I know I've gotta get a life, but this website takes too much time on computer, so... my bathrobe is my all I need. But it still kills me to sell the items I love! Waaahhh! This classic, one-button closure beige linen and off-white top-stitching jacket is similar to a riding jacket, however with floppy peplum, wide shoulders, wide lapels , it's extremely fashionable. Near Mint condition. Crisp. Add a sexy pencil skirt and stilletos. No... forget it... I'm keeping it!!!! Measures: 32-34" bust, 25-26" waist.

# 2412 - c. 1940's Golden Amber Crepe Evening Gown with Fully Beaded and Sequined Front Bodice! Oh I do wish I didn't have to try to describe colors with words! Too hard! Golden Amber? Light Pumpkin? Squash? You try it! Let me know what you come up with. Absolutely stunning draping on this skirt! Both the front and the back. The gown isn't perfect, since there are beads and sequins missing from some areas, but the gown itself is in Excellent condition. So... I've been holding on to this gown for a few months to see if I could find some beads to fix for you, but I never have the time to look... so I figure you might. The gown would need shoulderpads as well (the originals are missing). Even with the bit of work on your part, this gown is still one of the nicest I've seen. Measures: 35/36" bust, up to 30" waist, up to 41" hips., 39" long from waist. Side metal zipper. Had a belt at one time, though goodness knows why! Looks much better without! Best for 5'5" gal or shorter. The last gown I had up on the website similar to this, sold for $485, so I'm giving you a $90 break to add shoulder pads and find and stitch on your own beads! If I find them before you do, the price will go up! :) It's well worth it!

# 2448 - c. 1980's OSCAR DE LA RENTA Black Net Ballgown with Hot Pink Waistband! Not only is this a great gown, but it comes with a bit of great provenance! Originally owned by a woman (don't know which one) from the Coors family of Denver - you know.. the Coors...as in beer. Now that means that this female probably purchased the top of the line garments.. as I'll bet she wasn't hurting for spending cash!!! So...lucky you can now purchase her vintage gown for probably a heck of a lot less money than original cost! A fairytale princess gown in black fairly stiff netting (can't tell you what the material is... haven't a clue!).. but the extra wide waistband is a hot pink raw silk. Comes with the extra matching thin sash which you can tie around the waistband as shown. Full wide sleeves with gathered cuffs, ruffled collar and full skirt. Back zipper. Labeled size 6, but it's more like a Size 4 today. As you can see it's too small for my 35" bust mannequin, and just fits her waist at 25", 41" long from waist to hem. Amazingly doesn't overwhelm the small frame - yup, I tried it on... looks great and I'm only 5'2", size 6. Nice little cleavage from fairly low "u" neckline. I love it. So will you!
