# 7612 - c. 1950's Green with Blue Embroidered Silk "Sabrina" Ballgown!   One of my top 5 dresses of all time is the Givenchy gown worn by Audrey Hepburn in "Sabrina".  You know the one. When Sabrina to a fancy party, she promises to wear “a lovely evening dress with yards of skirt and way off the shoulders.” The lovely dress, a Givenchy strapless bodice with a voluminous embroidered skirt, makes Sabrina the belle of the ball (see below!) Anyway, I have spent my entire life looking for similar shaped vintage gowns.  I have probably had not more than 4 ... ever!  But I found another!!!! This one is probably the fullest I have ever had.  Green silk with blue embroidered feather.  Lovely seaming at the bodice.  The skirt is all one... it's not a straight skirt with overskirt, but the way it's designed, it just looks like that.  Side metal zipper.  Loads of crinoline under. Sadly, no label. Excellent condition with such extreme light yellow discoloration of the material that I can't even photograph it.  Only seen under bright lights. I doubt you will care in the least.  Measures: 36" bust, up to 27.5" waist, 41.5" long from waist to hem in front, 50" long from waist to hem in back.
