#7538 - Original SHARON STONE Worn VALENTINO Wedding Finale Outfit from Spring/Summer 1994 Runway Show with PHILIP TREACY Runway Hat! Ooh... what a coup for me to snag this entire end of show wedding outfit (except for the veil) worn by American actress Sharon Stone at the Spring/Summer 1994 RTW Italian Designer Valentino Paris Runway show on October 13, 1993!  This was a coup for Valentino as well back in 1993 when Sharon Stone was at the height of her career and was considered the "it" girl.  The outfit comes with the silk shantung and lace cutwork mini dress, lace pantyhose stockings by Pierre Mantoux, Valentino Couture lace up booties, and... and here's the extra special part... a Philip Treacy runway hat!!  Whose Philip Treacy?  Well... within two years of leaving college, Philip Treacy had become an internationally renowned milliner, designing hats to complement collections by the likes of Valentino and Karl Lagerfeld.  Since putting his own name on the label of his hats in 1993, Treacy hats have been worn by supermodels, the elite, and royalty.  Yes, it was a Philip Treacy hat that was worn to Princess Kate's wedding by Princess Beatrice that nearly stopped the show... and sold at auction for $128,000!!!!!!  Oh, and the basic couture Treacy alone... according to a 1995 newspaper article "his couture hats can cost to 750 pounds."... that's well over $2,000+ today for one Treacy hat.  This was likely more as the grand finale runway hat for Valentino... and the fact that it was from the first Treacy signed year 1993!!  You can watch the video of Sharon wearing this outfit down the runway at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iboIbB9aF3g   Dress is labeled size 8.  Boots are 6.5.  Condition is great for the hat, dress and stockings.  The boots, however are CUT OPEN at the bottom of one boot!!!! I guess Valentino didn't want anyone else wearing these, so they were "destroyed".  However, it's possible that a shoemaker could somehow create a new sole, or repair the hole. The hole is the length of what might have been the Valentino label.. though the label remains untouched in the other boot.  STRANGE!  However if you are purchasing this outfit for display, the problem isn't of any importance.  The mannequin won't care, and it won't be seen.
