# 7444 - c. 1980's
JACQUELINE de RIBES, Made in France
Off-White Lace and Satin
Blouse!
In July 2011, Vanity Fair Magazine voted Jacqueline de Ribes as one
of the "International Best-Dressed Hall of Fame" recipients. She
married to become a Countess and was well known as a style maker
long before she became a designer. In 1983, the year she started her
design firm, Town and Country
magazine named her the “Most Stylish Woman in the World.” Her
line was luxurious, expensive and was well received, especially in
the USA. This blouse is totally
sheer off-white lace with ecru satin neckline sash (to tie into a
floppy bow as you see) and French cuffs (you'll need cufflinks...
and certainly you'll need to wear a camisole under!). I sold
another Jaqueline de Ribes dress that I found the original ad for
the dress at $7,000 when new in the 1980s!!! So just to
give you a clue as the value of this label! This is probably
the softest satin you'll ever feel!!!!! Exquisite fabrication!
Measures: up to 34" bust. Near mint condition. There are
no shoulderpads but you can see the blouse has a puffy shoulder
shape. A simple skirt or satin pants would be awesome!
