Designed by Rene Hubert and worn by both Tallulah Bankhead and Betty Grable!  Ms. Bankhead wore it as Catherine the Great in A Royal Scandal (1945), and Betty Grable wore it as Francesca in The Lady in Ermine (1948).  Silver lame robe with ivory satin lining accented with silver netting, faux pearls, mirrored discs and ivory satin cording with tasseled sash.  As shown, the robe was accented with dark mink for Tallulah Bankhead and worn without the rope belt   For Betty Grable, the robe was trimmed with white fox and worn with the rope belt with tassel ends currently on the robe.  Furs were often removed by production companies and re-purposed.  Displays beautifully with or without fur trims.  Very good condition with the only major issues being tears at the upper sleeves (possibly due to storage with hangers over the years), and just a few additional minor issues (lame is pulled on neck seams, cording needs stitching at front hemline, and few minor stains).  Doubly historic memorabilia piece worn by two important leading ladies!
