#6242 - c. 1904 Rare and Beautiful "Military Style" Tailored Royal Blue Wool, Angora and Velvet 2-piece Trained Walking Suit!  This is one of those "wow" pieces for those of you (like me) who just love the high tailoring of the first decade of the 20th century. First things first... in Near Mint condition!  Hard to find anything wrong with this 2-piece royal wool walking suit.  Somehow the moths never found it!!  YEAH!!  You have to look at the jacket which as the peplum attached!  There are no closures on the jacket front, just the interior waistband holds it closed.  The lapels and large collar are embroidered in a floral design with ribbons and angora in lavendar-grey, off-white, light green and hmmmm "maize-color", trimmed with deep top-stitched navy velvet!  Awesome.  The skirt is slightly trained and again beautifully tailored.  Measures:  30" bust (11" between armseams at back), 23" waist on skirt and 23" slightly high waist of jacket, 36" hips, 40" long from waist to hem in front, 47" long in back. Shown with a white blouse under (doesn't come with it).  So hard to find these wool tailored suits without being moth-ridden!  This is almost like new!
