#563 - 1876 Elaborately Trimmed and Trained Gold Reception Gown! This gown was in only fair condition (though I'm a harsh critic for condition). But the styling is exquisite and it really must be part of this museum collection for research and study. Fabulously decorated with bows, flounces, ruffles, pleats, tassels and a Three foot long train. The material is a gold silk brocade with ivory silk inserts and gold tulle trim. Click on the photo to the left to see many photos. Feast your eye. The gown has no label, but was without a doubt a master dressmaker or designer. Enjoy!
