#4435 - c. 1933 Rose Crepe Gown
with Matching Long Jacket with Fox Sleeves! Once
again, I consulted an expert to get the exact dating on
this gown.. so for those of you who like to dress to
match your antique automobiles (so this gown is great for
1933 or slightly later.... as you might wear a dress a
few years old... especially during The Great Depression!)
This gown is fabulous on! Ever so slightly trained at
back.. hugs the curves of your body with the bias cut and
soft coral colored crepe fabric. Comes with matching tie
belt which you can use on the gown, or over the jacket as
you see. The jacket is knee length with no closures.. and
the most amazing fox sleeves!!! I was told by the same
expert that it's fox... so don't sue me if it's something
slightly different!! :) I'll give you HIS name! :) The
huge bunch of coral velvet flower ornament looks to be
original. You could remove it... but that's what makes it
look SO 1930's! Excellent condition with just two very
very minor light dirt lines on the skirt (around knee)
and the bodice (at front). They are really hardly worth a
mention. You have to remember.. this is 70+ years old..
and that's the only issue I can find!
