#4086 - c. 1960's RUDI GERNREICH Black Wool Knit Skirted Bikini Trimmed in Gold, Yellow, Green, White and Pink! Own a little piece of fashion history with the purchase of this vintage two piece swimsuit designed by Rudi Gernreich for Harmon Knitwear. As you likely know, Gernreich was featured on the cover of "Time" magazine in 1967. This great looking bathing suit is black knit. The suit has a orange knit band along the top and a green band along the bottom, with one yellow strap and one white strap, which buttons up the back with two buttons. There is a little skirt over the swimsuit bottom, which has a yellow knit belt that ties and along the bottom edge of the skirt is a hot pink band. There are two small stains on the back of the pink band and slight dirty spot on the belt. It's amazingly adorable on! And it's a museum collection piece for a Rudi Gernreich retrospective.
