#3927 - c. 1960's HATTIE CARNEGIE Green/Black Print Dress Suit! Ever
wonder why rich women look rich?? Well, they are smart enough to
purchase classic, well-made, perfectly designed pieces - oh, and
a few million dollars for personal upkeep doesn't hurt! But if
you can coif your own hair, wear the right make-up, and find
Jimmy Choo knock-off black pumps, well, then all you need is this
fabulous Hattie Carnegie Dress / Suit of a green/black print
substantial fabric, likely silk/cotton blend woven waffle
material. (I'm sure there is a name to this fabric, but I'm
afraid I don't know it!) Hattie Carnegie, a Russian-Jewish
immigrant from New York's Lower east Side. In her
"rags-to-riches" story, Carnegie became a fashion
designer, famous for cocktail dresses, formal wear and the
"Little Carnegie suit". This is the top of the line
Cargenie label. Perfect details. Sweet slightly gathered scoop
dress neckline. Self-tie jacket. Unique fabric. Fits like a
dream. Very comfortable to wear with slight stretch. Back metal
zipper. Fully lined in silk. Near Mint condition. Two, two, two
looks in one! Wear the dress alone, or with the jacket for the
classic suit look! Definitely a top quality, expensive garment
when new!
