Gown of Ivory Silk Mull with Massive Sleeves and Yoke of
Embroidered Silk Gauze, Trimmed with Pendant Rose Buds! :"The
sleeves are a poem." That's how one person described this
gown... and it's such a perfect description, I just had to steal
it. The ivory silk on this gown is a fine as you can get... I
call it china silk, others (smarter than me) call it silk mull...
you'll just call it ethereal! I've named this my "fairy
gown". You'd have to be small to wear it... or love it so
much that you get creative enough to enlarge at the mid-back...
since it measures: 31" bust, 23" waist, 45" long
skirt in front, 63" long in back. Has the original lining
intact... which is quite rare. Excellent condition except for the
slight staining and tearing at the underarms... it's unseen when
worn or displayed, but if you want to fix, you could with lace. I
only found one tiny spot at skirt hem and one small tear which
I've lost. Details are incredible with gathered upper arms, high
unadorned neck (I might wear with a wide pearl choker!), shawl
topped bodice, pendant dropped silk rose buds... etc, etc. I have
a silk and lace belt which didn't come with the gown, but looks
perfect with it. The antique wedding gown of your dreams!
