#3440 - c. 1905 Pink Crepe-de-Chine 2-piece Ballgown with Lace Trim! This woman was amazing! The Jayne Mansfield of her day! Bet she married well, because she was incredibly well-endowed!! I had to stuff the bust with cotton to fill out. I figure this was her "coming out" dress.. literally! Beautiful feminine pink crepe-de-chine with a strong lining (shown with extra petticoats under). At first glance, this is an extremely clean, crisp gown! However on close inspection, there are some extremely minor issues. Very light minor underarm stain. The bodice lining was enlarged by unfolding edge and moving hooks and eye... so it should be refolded and move hooks and eyes back to close perfectly... and there is a lining split, so it will need minor reinforcement. And I see some light pindot spots on the dress. I'm being extremely picky for such a beautiful gown! Without looking closely, I originally was ready to write "this is as clean as they get"! Measures: 30" bust, 22" waist, 40" long skirt.

SOLD - but on display in Museum Category for Research/Display
