Platinum Satin, Lace, Organza "Grace Kelly" Gown! I
can't figure out why no clothing manufacturer has re-created the
Grace Kelly gown from "Rear Window". I look for that
everywhere... but find nothing! However, I did find this
in my exhaustive search! Has the right shape! And frankly is
nearly as beautiful! The color is a light beige with grayish
tinge. Very pretty color. I call it "Platinum". Someone
else called it "Champagne". Satin halter with lace,
bows and ribbon. Dropped waistline, but still fitted to the
figure. The dress itself is a strapless design, and it's the lace
which creeps up from the bodice into a modified halter with sweet
collar. A satin ribbon drops from the bow at mid collar down the
front and hangs 1/2 down the skirt to another little bow! If you
want, the ribbon could be removed, but why mess up this designer
gown? The skirt is covered with matching color organza. Measures:
34" bust, 25" waist, 31" long from natural waist
to hem. The dress has been taken in about 2" at the sides,
so if you want, you can let out... but you will likely see the
old seaming lines in this fabric.
