#2765 - c. 1919 Rare Ivory Party Evening Gown Encrusted with Crystal Beads and Rhinestones with Original Silk Floral Trim and Metallic Lace with Orchid Pink Silk Satin Sash! She's way too pretty to be in a box! She's has such a personality... She just doesn't want to stay put! She keeps trying to grab the 1920s silver dance shoes I have nearby and I think if I turned my back on her, she'd call a taxi and head on over to the nearest dancehall!! I've been buying and selling antique clothing for 35 years and never saw a dress with all these details from this era in tact. I've seen shreds of this beaded material, and ripped up chiffon. It's always fabulous to find these dresses in such fine condition - though not perfect since some of the rhinestone trim is missing (easy to replace if you wish). You have to look at all the details of the dress. See the silk flowers hiding under the clear chiffon at the hemline! So rare to find them still there!!! See the silk flowers at the shoulder?? Gorgeous!! Gold metallic lace at the attached camisole. Triple tiered side skirts of silk chiffon. Measures: 33" bust (I squeezed her on my 35" bust mannequin - but it's too tight!), 24" waist. Meant to be worn to lower-calf length. Pure Confection! Like Icing on the Cake!
