#0088 - c. 1910's B. Loewus, Style Shop, Towanda, PA Fabulous Edwardian Copper Brown Metallic Straw Hat with Beading and Plumes! I bought this a thousand years ago.. well... perhaps I exaggerate. But certainly I've had it a long time in my personal collection. I used to have her proudly displayed, but she has asked me to be "traded" to a new owner... guess she's been listening to too much baseball on TV.. with Johnny Damon going to the damn Yankees. Condition is good, certainly not perfect. As you can see, the feathers are broken at the top (easily replaced with like feathers). The plumes are in great shape as is the auroaborealis bugle beading at the front. The hat is slightly metallic horsehair with straw braiding across top. The sheer netting at the top of the hat has tears, hard to see through the sheerness of the netting, but certainly there. Measures: 22 1/2" circumference inside, 9" x 10 1/2" x 5" high.. Feathers up to 14" high. Even with the condition issues... still a rare hat to find.

SOLD - but on display in Museum Category for Research/Display
